Bill

Jedi Master

Saber Color: Green

In a word, Bill’s lasting legacy may very well be encapsulated by the both positive and negative attributes of the term “stubborn.”  In truth, his very ethos seems to hinge upon this principle with respect to everything he has done in JOG.  Stubborn in the way he refused to let down his members by not putting his whole being into each and every battle he participated in, stubborn in not taking the easy path and selflessly taking his time to talk to JOG members late at night in the JOG chats, stubborn in his relentless desire to lead by action rather than a litany of hollow less words, and stubborn even in the day he left, Bill was, and still is, the epitome of the hardened, yet friendly, spirit only so few Golden Hall members have ever embodied.

Unsurprisingly, Bill’s work of character was molded in the early days of his Jedi career along other famous entities like OES and UDN.  It was in this environment, and under the tutelage of Jedi Master Zarex, where Bill learned to hone his unique, yet deadly style, of saber tossing whereupon many foes would fall to the sight of a deadly light saber heading their way.

After his training grounds in both UDN and OES, Bill would venture to take a short leave of absence from the known Jedi community hastening to, instead, better himself by way of interacting with the, not-so-friendly, Tatooine inhabitants and fending for himself in the dusty sprawls of the Cantinas that reside there.

Upon an urging from both Jedi Master Isac and Jedi Master Jeff to bring his set of unique talents to JOG, Bill accepted understanding full well the responsibility and duty the rank of a member would have.  Though the task may have been challenging, Bill managed to succeed where most others failed in successfully combining the ancient ways with the new forms of the saber producing a style that was born in both antiquity and modernity.  It was through this style that Bill would find himself placed in many battles against famous Sith and JOG Jedi Masters alike and either equal or, more often than not, win the day through sheer steely determination alone.  Upon finding the formula of success, Bill would immediately transfer this by way of attaining both the Jedi Knight and Master rank and by serving in the JOG Jedi Council from 2012 through 2013.

Although often hailed for his contribution of the JOG Jedi Main Army force which was comprised of only the elite in JOG and was watched over by both himself and Jedi Master Viking, his greatest feat in JOG was, perhaps, the most unnoticed in his, usually, physical manifestation of success.  In a true act of heroism and selflessness, Bill helped to save the archives of a burning Hall of Fame library in an effort to retain the community’s History at large.  Though not as flashy as his light-saber throws, this determined and sacrificial action retained the collective wisdom of the known galaxy.

Master JOGJeff had this to say about him: When we brought Bill onto the Jedi Council, I don't think Master Bill knew how much I respected him and his views. There were many times in which he went head to head with me in views of what we wanted to accomplish. What I don't know if he knew was this was exactly what I wanted from a council member. No one person is right in all thoughts and actions. And no matter how frustrating it can seem, the right leadership requires checks and balances. A great council fights to reach the best outcome. Then together show a solid front to our enemies. That is what made the councils of old so strong. And for a brief time its what made the council Bill sat on so strong. Nothing but respect for the man, wish he were still with us.

Though Bill no longer resides in JOG, he can rest easy knowing that all of its members regard him as remarkable friend and honor his efforts here to make JOG as great as it could be.
