This is Jetster Or Gana bringing you the latest news from around the Nation of JOG.
A new era has begun, as many of our long time Jedi Council members, whom have guided and led JOG over years have moved to an Elder status within the Nation. Such greats as Jedi Masters JOGJeff, Chicali, Frantic, Mr Clean and Deity are among those whose wisdom and knowledge will not be making policy for the Nation any longer. This in fact marks the first time in 5 years that the Jedi Council will not be presided over by JOGJeff who made this official statement just the other day on the steps of the Jedi Temple about the change.
" . . . Times are changing. For sometime now the Nation of JOG has worked tirelessly to rebuild its Jedi Order, in a matter of fact way, to make it a more dominate force combining youth, speed, wisdom and strength. An order that has the ability to squash evil where ever it may roam, to uphold peace, justice and the Joggarian way. It was realized that as this process was under way, that it was also time for us known as the old guard on the council, to move on, allowing for fresh faces, new ideas and enthusiastic energy to move the council, the order and the nation from here on out. . ."
The move allowed for a new leadership council to be formed. Remaining on the council however are Jedi Masters Jub Jub, Mastaisac, Leonardo and Viking. Joining them are fellow Masters Rabbit, King CT and Eruption. With the new leadership in place it has been rumored that the Nation will soon be taking a more dominating role in the sector, combining our peace time ways with a more heavy presence throughout the galaxy. Basically in so many words, speaking softly but carrying a big stick policy.
At the same holo news conference as Jedi Master JOGJeff announced the moves, Jedi Master Mastaisac had this to say about the new direction in JOG foreign policy.
" . . .Pursuing peace throughout the galaxy has and always will be our ultimate goal. For a long time now, the Nation of JOG has been a sort of a gate keeper of the sector, with our non aggression intervention policy having served us well for quite some time now. But now we feel as our Jedi Order has grown and prospered over the months and years of training that we are in a different position at this point in our history. With this new era of JOG beginning, the newly established council feels that a more heavy handed approach may be in order to continue to maintain the stability of the galaxy. . ."
Here on the home front, the new council also looks to continue to pump out this new energy with renewed vigor and focus. Just last year the council reopened the Orion Gladiatorial games, an event that pitted our Jedi against one another to hone their skills in battle. And as these games continue, the Council wishes to take yet another step in establishing a line a superior Jedi throughout the Nation and eventually the galaxy. In what is to be known as the Grand Champion of JOG Tournament which will be officially hosted by the Elders of the Nation, JOG's Jedi will be pitted against one another, to see who will be crowned the Grand Champion of JOG. In a stunning turn of events a usually private Nation will be broadcasting the results and in some cases live coverage of the events to the galactic public.
Times are indeed changing as it seems this New Era in JOG's history has begun! We look forward to seeing what this new council, stronger Jedi Order and even more influential community has in store for the Nation and the galaxy abroad.
