JOG History Phase 1: Team JOG - The earliest recorded history of the JOG clan comes from the teamjog.forumwise.com website. That website was the first of many sites used to record all manner of information about JOG. Unfortunately, the website itself no longer exists on the internet. However, using the outside system known as the Wayback Machine, some information can be recovered. Even still, the website does not function outside of one stagnant image of the JOG homepage. On the bright side, the Clan made an official change to teamjog.com on the third of July 2006, several short months after the clan's conception. Thus, some information from the early clan years is intact. Sadly, though, all data on that site prior to 7/29/2007 is corrupt and unrecoverable. The missing data means that all recorded JOG history from July 2006 to June 2007 is lost to time. Though, much of the history going forward from 7/29/2007 is intact and able to be preserved.
Teamjog.forumwise.com - Here contains the official JOG post about the transition to teamjog.com, as well as the banner that JOG played under in 2006. This information here is all that can be extracted from teamjog.forumwise.com.
JOG Clan Roster: Circa 2008 - This roster is estimated to be between 50 and 100 percent complete. The list of names on this roster are based on those mentioned as MVP’s of matches on teamjog.com. It is the most complete and earliest roster possible to retrieve, as no forum links to the official roster are accessible.
JOG Battle History: Screenshots taken from teamjog.com dating from 12/14/07 - 3/2/09 - An estimate has been made that these recorded matches make up over 90% of those that took place during that time, as the log is not 100% complete from what was recoverable.
JOG News - Here are all the major updates and clan news for JOG dating back as early as 7/29/07, and going through early 2009. These updates come from many JOG scribes such as the holocron news agency, Jester Or Gana, and evening JOGJeff himself. Inside they detail new platforms JOG intended to enter, such as ps3 and Xbox, as well as clan news updates like the second year anniversary. The news of what the JOG Jedi were up to during the above dates is 100% complete (Also contains the Team JOG banner).
The End of JOG as One Clan - This post was found on the homepage of teamjog.com on 4/18/2009. It is a post written by JOGJeff calling out some of the leadership of JOG as heading in a direction that he believed the clan should not go. He, and a vast majority of his loyal supporters, left Team JOG and went to form the Nation of JOG, a branch of the clan that the Jedi once started up to defeat the sith of SWBF2. Team JOG would continue on for five years, but JOG as a one would disappear until its merge back in 2014.
Team JOG continued: 2009-2014 - Team JOG continued on for five years after it split from its counterpart, the Nation of JOG. This branch of JOG did not continue with SWBF2 to any extent, and became entirely a PS3 competitive gaming clan. The documents below are taken from teamjog.com from the years 2010-2014. -- At this point, the site jumps from 2008 to 2010, and the website's graphics return. However, still nothing but the home page contains uncorrupted data.
-- Here, another jump takes place in recoverable data on the site, moving from 2010 to November 2013.
-- This is where recoverable data ends with teamjog.com, 4/13/13. The site, and clan itself, would carry on until early 2014, when they would reconnect with the members of the Nation of JOG to form Clan JOG. By the point of the last {JOG}Updates, the two halves of the clan had started to show signs of merging back together.
